MOTORCYCLE DISTANCE RIDING WIND CHILL CALCULATOR
To use this wind chill calculator, simply fill in the fields for temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit)
and wind speed (in miles-per-hour), then click the Calculate button. Note the following:
-
This WCT index is only defined for temperatures at or below 50 degrees Fahrenheit and wind speeds above
3 MPH.
-
Wind speeds of greater than 40 mph have little additional chilling affect. Also, very high wind speeds or temperature
extremes may produce erroneous calculations.
-
This WCT calculation assumes a clear night sky, i.e., no impact from solar radiation. Bright
sunshine can increase the wind chill temperature by 10 to 18 degrees Fahrenheit.
